Mathew approached Australian Publishing Press with a simple request: basic editing. His goal was not to overcomplicate the process, but to make the manuscript read more cleanly and professionally. During review, we identified an opportunity to take the project further without changing the author's original direction.
The book needed stronger readability, consistency and presentation, but the editorial work had to remain proportionate to the author's original request. At the same time, the final files needed to meet the practical standards of a commercial Amazon listing.
We expanded the engagement from a basic edit into a streamlined publishing workflow. The manuscript was edited and proofread, reviewed for publication readiness, professionally formatted and prepared for Amazon KDP. Metadata and listing support were handled alongside final quality control so Mathew did not need to coordinate separate providers for each step.
Mathew began with a request for editing and completed the process with a polished book published on Amazon. The journey stayed focused on his manuscript and his voice, while Australian Publishing Press handled the technical and production steps needed to turn the edited draft into a market-ready title.
Australian Publishing Press provides self-publishing services under one roof. We do not operate as a vanity press: authors retain their rights and royalties, and where platform publishing is included, the book is set up through the author's own publishing profile/account so Australian Publishing Press does not take ownership of the author's intellectual property.
